A problem has been discovered when updating older (0.10.x.x and below) versions of NANO Antivirus to the new version 0.14.0.0.

We ask users who encounter this error to uninstall the old version of NANO Antivirus, then download and install the new version 0.14.0.0 from our website.

A new version of NANO Antivirus (0.14.0.0 Beta) has been released.

The following changes/fixes have been made:

• Significantly reduced memory consumption by the nanosvc.exe process.
• Reduced memory consumption during updates.
• Added a completed tasks log. In the log you can view statistical information about a completed task, as well as a list of malware detected within that task. The log is located on the "Tasks" tab.
• Added a system protection log. In the log you can view a list of malware detected as a result of system protection. The log is available on the new "Log" tab.
• Fixed occasional errors when calculating statistics.
• Changed the username validation mechanism used when obtaining a license. Only names and surnames that resemble real ones, typical of both Russian and foreign languages, are now accepted.
• Fixed an error when processing a password-protected archive in quarantine.
• Fixed an error that in some cases caused problems during antivirus installation.
• Fixed an error that prevented enabling system protection immediately after installation.
• Fixed an error that made it impossible to save changes to a custom scan task's settings.
• Fixed an error where the checkbox for "Automatically block infected objects" was not displayed.
• Made minor interface changes and fixes.
• Fixed a large number of minor bugs and issues.

• Added heuristic detection of malware spreading via a vulnerability in MS Windows lnk files (shortcuts).
• Improved detection of Virut family viruses.
• Increased processing speed for infected items inside archives.
• Fixed a large number of minor bugs and issues.
