BI.ZONE LLC strives to protect your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal data, and takes its information security obligations seriously.

Personal Data Controller

BI.ZONE LLC, registered at: Russia, Moscow, Olkhovskaya St., 4, bldg. 2, office 515, receives and processes personal data in the course of its activities. This policy explains what data about you BI.ZONE processes, how and why BI.ZONE uses it, and how BI.ZONE protects your privacy when you use our NANO Antivirus product.

This Privacy Policy has been prepared in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ On Personal Data of July 27, 2006 and the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) of April 27, 2016, and is aimed at ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms in the processing of personal data.

Terms used in this policy

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (the data subject), directly or indirectly.

Processing of personal data means any operation or set of operations performed with or without the use of automation tools on personal data, including collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, modification), extraction, use, alteration, anonymization, blocking, deletion, and transfer of personal data.

How and why BI.ZONE uses your data
1. Types of information we receive
  • Files submitted by users for malware scanning.
  • Technical information (IP addresses, browser version, etc.) submitted by users to technical support via the log collection and submission utility, or automatically with the user’s consent.

The information we receive cannot technically be used to identify a user as an individual.

2. Purpose of collection and use of information

Files received from users are checked for malicious code in order to provide the user with an online verdict on the submitted file, or to update virus databases without additional notice to the user.

Technical information is used to identify issues experienced by the user and to suggest solutions.

Received files and technical information may also be subject to additional analysis and used for statistics, product improvement, and similar purposes without additional notice.

3. How we store and protect information

Information received from users is stored on the Company’s servers and carefully protected by all available technical and organizational means against possible unlawful disclosure. Most of the information received is retained only for the duration of work with the services and is deleted afterward.

4. Control over use and disclosure of information

In certain cases strictly defined by the laws of the Russian Federation, upon a special request we may transfer received information to law enforcement authorities for the purpose of preventing or investigating criminal activity, and similar purposes. In all other cases, the information is used strictly for internal purposes by a limited number of authorized Company employees and is not to be transferred or disclosed to third parties.

5. User modification of information

After a file is submitted for scanning, we have no technical ability to identify the sender and therefore cannot, at the user’s request, modify, delete, or return the files received from them. By submitting files for scanning, you agree to this condition.

We may make changes to our privacy policy without additional notice. The current privacy policy is published on our website on this page.
