Patent obtained in China

NANO Security has become the rights holder of patent #ZL 2014-165891.6 in China under invention application No. 201410165891.6 “Method for neutralizing malware that blocks PC operation using a separate device for user activation of a countermeasure procedure against malicious software” with priority No. RU2013118811 dated 24.04.2013. This patent will be valid for 20 years from the filing date.

The patented technology was developed by our company’s specialists to counter ransomware. This type of malware, once launched on a PC, blocks access to the user’s data and demands a ransom, often a substantial one. The number of such attacks keeps growing, and protection against them is becoming an increasingly urgent task.

Our technology enables successful remediation of a PC infected with such ransomware, including previously unknown variants, while fully restoring the blocked user data.

At present, there are no equivalents of this technology.

The company’s antivirus technologies have also previously been patented in Russia, the CIS, Europe, and the USA.
