8th International CARO Conference 2014 and AMTSO meeting

Representatives of NANO Security took part in the 8th International CARO Conference 2014, held on 15–16 May 2014 in Melbourne, USA.

This year the conference was held in the USA for the first time. The host was the Florida Institute of Technology. Given their growing relevance, the main theme of the presentations was mobile threats in the modern world (“Mobile Space: Malware in a mobile world”). About 20 papers were presented at the conference by antivirus companies, testing organizations, and others. More details about the conference are available at http://2014.caro.org.

The conference was also preceded by the traditional working meeting of AMTSO (Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organization), of which NANO Security is a member. The meeting was held on 13–14 May immediately before CARO 2014 at the same venue. The working sessions included presentations by AMTSO members and discussion of topics dedicated to new methodologies for testing antivirus products, organizing joint work, and more.
