For example, VhdAttachService.exe normally uses around 20 MB of RAM. But, when using the latest alpha of NANO AntiVirus, its memory usage jumps to around 112 MB. An image of my Task Manager's Processes' Tab is attached.

Zero3K, please send us logs. Use "Start->All programs->NANO AntiVirus->Send log to support".
Important! You need to collect logs at the moment when RAM usage by that program is increasing.

Ok. The Logs have just been sent.

The logs show us that the reason of the problem isn't NANO AntiVirus. Please look after the described program and try to find the source of the problem.

Weird. When scanning the RAM of a program that's running with NANO AntiVirus, I can clearly see the memory usage of it increasing. I'll try closing all of my programs and see if the problem still occurs.

EDIT: I closed all of the programs and ran a memory scan. The problem still occurred.

We tested this program here. The program uses more then 100Mb of virtual memory usually and the main part of the memory is in swop-file. So the task manager shows only the visible part of the using memory (that is out of swop-file).

When NANO AntiVirus starts to scan the memory, it pulls out all RAM which is used by VhdAttachService.exe from swop-file, so you can see the enlarged value in your task manager. Then after the scanning process is completed the visible RAM usage is getting clear (the OS manages this process so we can't force it).

That makes sense. But, the RAM usage of a program shown in Task Manager doesn't go down after scanning when I did a memory scan. Unless it takes a while for it to go down.

So, is there any news regarding this issue?
